Roberta Boffo (b. 1986) is a Hong Kong based Italian artist. She is known for her radical and unique use of ink and her detailed and intricate works which reflect the use of Chinese calligraphy and influences from contemporary and modern art. Roberta’s obsession are the simplest elements of art: dots, spots, lines that evolve into abstract shapes and forms that come to life organically, spontaneously and intuitively. In her search for balance, harmony and peace, always pushing her boundaries and outside of her comfort zone, Roberta is able to create calm, introspective and harmonious works in black and white, achieving a wide range of greys. Gray is the color that Roberta most associates with quietness and peace, which Roberta tries to instill back into her daily life with her each and every piece of art. The artist’s works are part of private collections around the world.
