Sean Foley
Sean Foley is an Australian street photographer living in Hong Kong. During Sean’s first visit to Hong Kong, in 2013, he was immediately struck with the unique beauty that Hong Kong had to offer. There was something about the neon signs in particular that gripped his attention. The hues that they would cast across the unique architecture gave him a sense of nostalgia, although he had never seen anything like it before. He first picked up a DSLR in 2017, and set out on a mission to capture all of the remaining neon signs as they were slowly being dismantled and removed due to some new regulations. It wasn’t long before Sean fell in love with the art of photography, and the long nights developing his craft as he hunted for new scenes and interactions completely took over his life. He describes photography as his meditation. When he is out shooting, all those inner voices become silent and focused on the one goal – to capture meaningful and beautiful moments.
